Tour overview

Bandhavgarh National Park, a premier tiger safari park in central India, has a well-balanced mixture of Sal and Bamboo thickets.
Despite being smaller than its sibling parks, this one has one of the greatest tiger concentrations in the nation.

Every bend on a Bandhavgarh tiger safari tour has a unique tale to tell, so be prepared to be out of breath. Bandhavgarh is renowned for having a wonderful fusion of old citadels and the natural environment, with gigantic canopies engulfing fauna in their laps and mediaeval forts.

The locals of Bandhavgarh often say that you’re really unlucky if you don’t see a tiger! The good news is that luck is on your side since a tiger safari excursion is ready and waiting for you.
You will have the opportunity to explore the in-depth historical and mythological links of this lush terrain during the guided trip, one of which is its connections to the Ramayana epic. In reality, Rama’s affection for his beloved brother Lakshmana is commemorated in the name “Bhandavgarh.”

We did 5 days of safaris with Sharad Vats's team, in Kanga and Pench, in April 2022. Right from the planning to the actual execution, Sharad was accessible, knowledgeable and helpful, to ensure we got a good experience. Not only was the itinerary planned and tweaked multiple times to suit us, but our accommodation and food needs were also taken care of well...

Unforgettable. We had an amazing and totally unforgettable trip to India organised by Nature Safari India, in particular Deepkul (and previously Manjeet). I organised the trip 2 years ago just as the pandemic hit, I had been communicating with Nature Safari India constantly for quite a few months until we finalised on an itinerary, nothing was too much trouble...

Nature Safari India Helped Us Fall In Love With India. Our trip with Nature Safari India was a trip of a lifetime that vastly exceeded our expectations! As a little kid I'd always dreamt of taking a tiger safari in India, but never imagined how life changing it could be. When my wife and I began planning our trip there were so many unknowns. I honestly didn't even know...

Tiger Safari India FAQs

FAQs on Tiger Safari Holidays

The most crucial requirement before entering the national park is that a person has a valid safari permit with their correct name and government identification information. For verification at the park gate, the person even needs to have the same ID that is listed on the safari permit. Other things to bring on a safari are hand sanitizer, a packaged water bottle, packed breakfast for early morning safaris, a camera bean bag, a safari hat, mosquito repellent cream or spray, and sunscreen lotion.

The most manoeuvrable way to go on a tiger safari inside an Indian national park is in a jeep, an open-roofed automobile. While on safari, it has room for a naturalist (who is also your driver), a guide (supplied by the forest service), and six passengers. On the other hand, a canter is an open-roofed minibus with room for a driver, a guide, and 16–20 passengers.

Although tigers can be seen on safari all year long in India, it is advised to book your trip for the cooler months of October through March. There are designated tiger safari areas in each and every Indian national park that are accessible to the public for longer periods of time. Planning your tiger safaris in India far in advance—at least five months—will offer reputable tiger tour companies like Tiger Safari India the time to put together the finest trip they can for you.
